Gran Prix Manila: Worth Revisiting

It was last year when I was first introduced and experienced Gran Prix Hotel and Resorts. With branches in Manila, Quezon City, Pasay City, Tarlac, Cebu and Boracay, it is no wonder that this chain of hotels has become a home-far-away-from-home to travelers, may they be on a budget or not, and may they be local or  foreign in a very short amount of time. And last week, as I was given another chance to enjoy its hospitality in a Bloggers' Night that they hosted, it is just so nice to indulge in to something that gives you happiness and fulfillment even in a glimpse of time.

For more than 12 hours, I get to experience again the simple beauty that Gran Prix Hotel and Resorts has to offer. From its simple but welcoming reception area to its hall ways that gives nothing but breathable spaces, down to its rooms that encapsulate simple yet decent appeal, Gran Prix Manila is indeed one friendly brand giving value to every visitors of this colorful city.

Miss Rhina Villagracia, Sales and Marketing Supervisor of Gran Prix, shared to us that Gran Prix Hotels and Resorts, specifically Gran Prix Manila, aims to give not just a relaxing stay to its visitors but also an affordable and comfortable accommodation that fits to one's need even.

From their easy to use furnishings, reliable staff that are always ready to help you with a smile on their faces, to their free and fast Wi-Fi connection, one can assure of the safety and convenience that you deserve when you stay at any Gran Prix hotel.

And last week, as I occupy a two-bed-bedroom at the newly opened second floor of Gran Prix Manila, I was delighted by the accompanying fine wooden furniture that added that Filipino feel all over the place and the abstract paintings on the walls that gave life and homey feel to every floor. These pieces are part of the former furniture store that used to occupy the space in this building, but now that Gran Prix finally gets the whole floor, these pieces are now part of the Gran Prix beauty that you can enjoy.

Their new rooms on the second floor keep that simple look that Gran Prix is made up of, while keeping the privacy and affordable comfort at hand. There's really nothing too fancy about their rooms, but knowing that the doors are using a magnetic card, there's a split-type air conditioning unit, a cable TV, a phone and in-room Wi-Fi connection, its just right to say that the value of your money is really valued here.

And with their upcoming new branch in Puerto Princesa, Palawan, Gran Prix team who was so generous that night made us more excited and really happy because they raffled off among the bloggers who were invited 3 gift certificated that indicates a 3-day/2-night stay in their properties in Boracay and Cebu!

Bloggers Alex (me), Rod and Karl
won Gift Certificates during the Bloggers Night

Karl got the Gran Prix Cebu stay, which includes a breakfast for two, Rod got the Gran Prix Bracay Hideaway, which also includes breakfast for two and me, who took home the most bongga one, the Sitio Boracay stay for two with free breakfast too! Bongga, di ba?! Wee!

But for those who were left behind, well, there's one reason to enjoy Manila, and that is food tripping! And here in Gran Prix Manila, I was once again treated to an amazing dinner that I will keep on remembering when the "Namayan" is mentioned.

Namayan is the Gran Prix outstanding restaurant that offers an unbelievable and enjoyable flavors that you one have when you stay here. And that night, Gran Prix brought in one of the best chefs in town andone of the owners of Bread Depot, Chef Kaiser.

That night, I was wowed by the menu that Chef Kaiser prepared for us. It made me feel that I was dining in a five-star hotel, with all this plated gourmet right under my nose.

Mesclun Green with Pomelo Wedges
and shaved Parmesan tossed in Honey Citrus Vinaigrette

Tomato Soup with Curry Egg Foam
served with Pesto Focaccia

Beef Short Ribs Braised in Red Wine and Herbs
served with Roasted Pumpkin Mash and Grilled Asparagus
(THE BEST!)

Spiced Carrot Walnut Cake
with Cream Cheese Frosting

Gran Prix Hotels and Resorts was just so unbelievable! For the second time that I've been here, they still amaze me and win my heart. From their services, to people, to amenities down to the sumptuous food like these, I felt really welcomed and I must say - I really enjoyed everything AGAIN.

So, if you'll ask me again, is my revisit to Gran Prix worthy? VERY MUCH.

Thank you, Gran Prix Hotels and Resorts!
I can't wait to experience and feel the extended love at your Sitio Boracay!
Wee!!!!

Happy rammmpa!
