Paete Reboot at Picasso Boutique Serviced Residences

Known for its artsy-artsy appeal to local and foreign guests of Makati City, Picasso Boutique Serviced Residences is happy to host a unique exhibit that display the magnificent and truly world-class talents our of artists from the beautiful and artistic town of Paete in Laguna in this Paete Reboot exhibit.

An exhibit prepared by Paete Artists Guild and curated by Mr. Glenn Cagandahan, Paete Reboot showcases that amazing talent that the town of Paete was known for - sculpting. With 15 artists namely Bayani Ray Acala, Phaern Afurong, Angelito Baldemor, Ely Kid Baldemor, Lell Baldemor, Patricio Balquiedra, Otep Bañez, Dhan Cads, Christine Cagandahan, Glenn Cagandahan, Odette Cagandahan, Nestor Cagayat, Benjamin Dailo, Bisoy Iglesia and Dominic Rubio, Paete Reboot will give you a glimpse of what more to expect from Paete, Laguna.

The main gallery of this exhibit is located  on the 4th level of Picasso Boutique Serviced Residences. Sculptures and other wood carvings by Angelito Baldemor, Phaern Afuring, patricio Balquidra, Dhan Cads, Glenn Cagandahan, Nestor Cagayat, Benjamin Dailo and Bisoy Iglesia are to be see in the his room.

Most of the sculptures on the main gallery depicts the life that you can see in rural areas like Laguna. From the basic street games, to the lifestyle of the people from that place, the main gallery will give you a feel of this town's pride.

But of course, upon reaching the 4th floor, you couldn't miss this piece that I personally find kinda blasphemous. But of course, as they always say, arts is subjective, so I'll just let you guys decide for yourselves. :-)

The ground floor lobby of Picasso Boutique Serviced Residences is also adorned by some sculptures of Dhan Cads, Glenn Cagandahan and Bisoy Iglesia, as well as the paintings of Otep Bañez, Bayani ray Alcala, Lell Baldemor and Odette Cagandahan.

As for the 2nd floor lobby, it is embellished by the sculptures of Benjamin Dailo and Angelito Baldemor, as well as paintings from Dominic Rubio, Christine Cagandahan and Lell Baldemor.

The3rd, 5th to9th floor elevator landings were also given an artistic touch, but these pieces are done by other artists, whom I believe were also local artists.

Altro Mondo Arte Contemporanea is the gallery behind this impeccable pieces, and their gallery is located at the 3rd floor of Greenbelt 5, Ayala Center in Makati City. Their gallery in Greenbelt 5 is open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily, but as for this Paete Reboot exhibit, it is open to the public from January 24 to March 1, 2013.

Altro Mondo Arte Contemporanea will also be a part of the most awaited Art Fair Philippines 2013. You can read more about Art Fair Philippines 2013 here - http://www.recyclebinofamiddlechild.com/2013/01/art-fair-philippines-2013-this-february.html.

As the life in this town remains vibrant, I just hope that our appreciation towards our local artworks will be as the same. I hope you could spend some time to visit this Paete Reboot Exhibit and the Art Fair Philippines 2013.

It's about time to love our own! Happy Rammmpa!
